Just One More

We’re looking for a good man.

Not a few good men, but one particular male to round out our incredibly awesome cast for Love’s Labour’s Lost. Last week’s auditions went better than we could’ve hoped. After Thursday night’s callbacks, I stopped my co-producers in the parking lot and said something like, “You know, I don’t think I’ve ever been so impressed by the potential of two nights of auditions.” The cast we have is just excellent. So I have no doubt that this play is going to be a success.

That being said, we have one role left to cast. We’re looking for someone who loves words, particularly big ones. On top of that, they have to be prepared to dish out the occasional bit of Latin, even if they really don’t know what they’re saying. If you’d be interested in making a run at a fool-hardy Shakespearean scholar (or even if you just know someone that could be convinced to give it a go), please let us know. Send us an email (nfdramaclub[at]gmail[dot]com) or reply to this post. We’ll arrange a time to talk with you (or them) and possible even arrange a little impromptu auditioning.

Time is of the essence. We’d hoped to have a confirmed cast list posted by Monday morning. Our first rehearsal is a week from then. As this is an ensemble work, we need our missing piece as soon as possible.

So give us a shout. Ask your friends. Spread the word. Thanks.
