North Fulton Drama Club will be holding open, Non-Equity auditions for a new production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Rehearsals will begin in February/March and the show will debut on Friday, May 2nd, 2008 and run for three weekends, including a Sunday matinee.
Auditions for Midsummer will be held on Monday, February 4th and Tuesday, February 5th. Callbacks will be held on Thursday, February 7. We will begin at approximately 6:30pm and run until approximately 9:30pm.
Show dates are May 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, & 17 for evening shows, and May 4 for the Sunday daytime show.
We need:
5 Men
4 Women
12 Parts Open to Men OR Women
An indeterminate number of fairies
Actors should come prepared to perform cold-readings from provided scripts. Monologues, particularly Shakespearean, are appreciated, but not required. Headshots and theatre resumes are appreciated, but not required. Actors with singing voices should be prepared to be asked to sing a few lines of a song (anything will do, as long as it has an actual tune). To be clear, you do not have to be a singer to be part of the cast! Click here for an audition form and conflict calendar to fill out in advance. While you’re at it, take a flyer: Black & White –or– Color.

Auditions will be held on the property of Barrington Hall in Roswell, Georgia. The Hall is located at 535 Barrington Drive, on the south side of the Historic Roswell Square, near the intersection of GA Hwy 120 and GA Hwy 9. Follow Barrington Drive and turn left on to King Street to access the graveled parking behind the blue barn. There is very limited parking available in the main lot, so please park around back.

Note: There have been some problems with the links to the form and the posters in Internet Explorer. We will be fixing that, but they work in FireFox. So, be nice to the internet and use a standards compliant browser!
