Shakespeare Is a Riot
By Nikki • Jul 2nd, 2008 • Category: Drama Blog, UncategorizedNPR is doing a series about Shakespeare on Morning Edition. Today’s piece was about two actors’ whose rivalry sparked a riot in New York. The most interesting part of the discussion, however, centers on the history of Shakespeare in the US and how this event changed public consumption of Shakespeare. We’re really excited to hear the rest of the series; tomorrow they are apparently taking on the “Authorship Question.”
