Fulton County Arts Council and YOU!
The Fulton County Arts Council was established in 1979 to enhance the quality of life for Fulton County residents via the arts. NFDC participates in the Contracts for Services program, where we agree to provide arts services within the county, and therefore receive a grant in return to support those efforts. This funding is a vital part of our planning to support and improve each show we do at the Hall – and this funding also helps us keep the shows FREE to the public. So it’s pretty hard to understate the importance of the FCAC to us here at NFDC.
Along with our organization, the FCAC also helps to support lots of other groups in the county. You can see a gallery of artists on their website, and you can download a list of current artists/groups as well. The FCAC supports organizations small and large, as well as public art throughout Fulton County.
So that’s pretty important.
What can you do to help?
Contact Your Commissioner. The number one most awesome thing you can do is talk to your elected officials and tell them that you think the FCAC is important. Talk about shows you’ve seen that the FCAC helped to sponsor (like ours!) and tell them why it’s important to support the arts in our communities.
Take Advantage of FCAC Programs! Maybe you want to take a class? That’s another topic you can bring up with your Commissioner!
Take Our Patrons’ Survey By filling out the survey, you help us gather vital information about our audiences and help us serve you better.
Thank you for supporting NFDC and the arts in Fulton County!
