Meet The Cast of Love's Labour's Lost

Note: This is a partial cast list due to several reasons, primarily that we did not get bios from everyone and I don’t have time to write fill-ins for everyone else. I will be making little headshots of everyone from the photos we have of the show, and at least listing your name. I may even alphabetize, but this is what we have for now. ~Nikki

Ilene Miller - The Princess of France

Ilene Miller Princess of France – Ilene majored in theater at NYU, and graduated with a BA in theater from UGA. She has a strong aversion to writing bios for programs, as there is too much pressure to be witty, and writing about oneself in the third person is always awkward. Love’s Labours Lost marks the first production Ilene has been involved with since college, and she couldn’t be happier to be involved with such a great group of people.

Wendy Tarpley - Maria (an heir of Falconbridge)

Wendy Tarpley Maria – Wendy Tarpley hails from Perry, Georgia and graduated in 2005 with a degree in History and Political Science and a minor in Theatre from Shorter College. She has been a dramaturg many times, and her favorites include The Miser, Chicago, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Shorter College) and Ragtime (Seaside Music Theater). She has also worked as Development Associate for SMT and in script development for Art Within Atlanta. She is currently employed as a legal secretary and amateur softball player at the firm of Seyfarth Shaw LLP. Wendy dedicates her performance to Brooke Ivey and Cat Mew, the most patient acting teachers on the planet, and to her mom who has taught her more in 22 years than she taught thousands of ungrateful sophomores in three decades. Happy Retirement!

Liz Fricke - Katherine, heir of Alencon

Liz Fricke Katherine – Liz began her love affair with Shakespeare at the ripe old age of sixteen when she saw a production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Fair. All of Mt. Hope Estate and Winery heard her exclaim in awe to her dad, “Wow – Shakespeare’s dirty!”

Since then she has celebrated her love for iambic pentameter and dictionaries by first becoming an English major at the Pennsylvania State University and now by performing the Bard live. Her thanks to Nikki, Alyssa and Thomas for giving her this opportunity and for making sure the dressing room always has 33 green M&M’s. (She simply will not perform without them). You can also see Liz performing at the Shakespeare Tavern (serving drinks and bussing tables, but with conviction!) once a month.

Other credits around town include: Corie Bratter, Barefoot in the Park at Old Alabama Road Co (and for one weekend at Kudzu); Blore, Ten Little Indians at Little General; Mary Hatch, It’s a Wonderful Life at Class Act and Felicia Dantine, I Hate Hamlet, also at Old Alabama Road Co.

Anna Rich Lady Rosaline

Doug Curlin - Lord Boyet

Doug Curlin Lord Boyet -Doug is an Atlanta area actor, appearing last year in Savage Tree Arts Project’s “Requiem for a Heavyweight” and Jack in the Black Box’s “The Exonerated,” in which he performed 16 different characters. This is actually his first Shakespeare play (he doesn’t count the parodies of R&J and the Scottish Plays he wrote and performed in while in high school.) He’s looking forward to travelling to Maine this summer, where he’ll be spending two weeks at the Celebration Barn Theater, studying Eccentric Performing with Avner Eisenberg and Julie Goell. He wants to especially thank Thomas, Nikki, and Alyssa for their kindness and support.

Michael Eshman - King Ferdinand of Navarre

Michael Eshman King Ferdinand of Navarre – Michael went to UGA, where he met fellow cast member Matt Ramsey. Currently Michael works in banking and finance, and plans to attend law school in the fall. If Michael wants to write his own bio, he can send an email to his directors, who think he’s awesome.

Matt Ramsey - Lord Berowne

Matthew P. Ramsey Lord Berowne – Matthew Phillip Ramsey is a 24-year-old legal-assistant/singer/songwriter/backslash-enthusiast from Kennesaw, Georgia. Matt graduated with an AB in Political Science from the University of Georgia in May 2004, and his previous stage appearances have included, but may not be limited to, South Pacific, The Wizard of Oz, West Side Story, Flowers for Algernon, This is a Test, and Into the Woods. Matt is very excited to be a part of the North Fulton Drama Club’s inaugural production, and slightly less excited about his plans to attend law school in the fall. Matthew is the son of Clay and Marilyn Ramsey. Ed. Note – Sorry, Matt — due to the fact that Berowne has eleventy billion lines, we had only photos of you with your mouth open. But, you are photogenic. Cheers!

Patrick Lundy - Lord Longaville

Patrick Lundy Lord Longaville – Born in 1979 (the same year “Alien” came out in theaters), Patrick Lundy has enjoyed acting locally for the last 5 years. His hobbies include video games, model-building, video games, spending time with his 3 cats, video games, reading graphic novels that became movies, and video games. Never approach him at night when his powers are at their strongest. He’d like to thank his Ma and Elvis.

Sean-bio-pic.png

Sean Anderson Lord Dumain Sean was born at the 121st Evac Hospital on Yongsan Army Garrison in Seoul, South Korea, and he is proud to be the second largest baby ever delivered there. He got his first taste of acting as the scary dentist in Mrs. Bough’s first grade performance of “Cavity Calamity” at Seoul American Elementary School. Despite the show’s favorable reviews, Sean decided to take a break from acting in order to devote more time to other projects. North Fulton Drama Club’s production of “Love’s Labours Lost” is the first play that he has been involved with in fifteen years, and he is delighted to be working with such a wonderful bunch of dedicated directors and cast mates. Sean is thoroughly enjoying acting again, but what he really wants to do is direct.

David Morgen - Holofernes

David Morgen Holofernes – David Morgen has starred in many productions before but only inside his head. This is his first time performing before an audience in a Shakespearean play (or any play, for that matter) although as an English professor he has, in fact, read a play or two.

Tom Strong - Nathaniel

Tom Strong Nathaniel – Tom has been active on the Atlanta theater scene for many years. Recent appearances include the character of Richard Greatham in Polk Street Players production of Noel Coward’s Hay Fever and multiple roles in the musical Big River at Big Top Theater. He also appeared in the Roswell sesquicentennial play Whisper of the River. The romantic comedy, Love’s Labour’s Lost, is a wonderful opportunity to meet the challenges of the Bard. A great cast and directors really helps; thanks to everyone!

Claire Shavzin Ranger Dull

Larry Ficek Costard Larry Ficek (Costard) – Larry is thrilled to be performing in the first production of the North Fulton Drama Club and his first production in Atlanta. A recent graduate of UGA, Larry has performed in many plays ranging from Shakespeare to Greek to musicals to concept theatre. Most recently Larry has performed as Linus in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Bob Crachit in A Christmas Carol, the Mayor of Who in Seussical: the Musical , and Malvolio in Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.

Alyssa K. Jackson Jaquenetta

Thomas L. Strickland

Thomas L. Strickland Don Adriano de Armado – Mr. Strickland graduated from Berry College in 1994 with a B.A. in English, a minor in Theatre and a deep, abiding love of live performance. Since moving to Atlanta in 1995, Mr. Strickland has maintained an inconstant relationship with local theatre. Love’s Labour’s Lost marks Mr. Strickland’s sixth dramatic encounter with the works of William Shakespeare. If luck abides, it will not be his last.

Rachel Pendergrass - Moth Rachel Pendergrass Moth
