On behalf of the North Fulton Drama Club board, I am announcing that Twelfth Night will be our last show. We’ll be disbanding the company after the show this summer.
Although sad, this is a positive decision. Everyone involved in the company has been moving on to other ventures and it’s been harder and harder to keep the company going.
We have been so proud to be a part of the vibrant and supportive community theater community of metro Atlanta. As an all volunteer organization, we are incredibly appreciative to everyone who came and acted with us, worked on our sets and costumes, sold concessions, or the many other ways you helped us. Thank you all.
We also cannot say enough about the support NFDC has gotten from the City of Roswell and Barrington Hall over these past nine years. They gave us an incredible gift in Barrington Hall as our home base, and we literally would not still be around today without that generosity.
We also owe a huge thank you to Fulton County Arts & Culture. We were the recipients of an arts grant for 4 years and without that support, we would never have survived the financial crisis. You allowed us to continue to provide our shows free of charge during that tough time, providing entertainment to a cash-strapped audience.
And finally, we have to thank everyone who came out and saw our shows. Thank you for telling your friends and neighbors about us, for donating your hard-earned money to us, and for telling us how much you enjoyed our work. We are so grateful to have such a wonderful audience.
Since Twelfth Night will be our final production, and as a final thank you to Roswell and Barrington Hall, all donations given at the shows will go to the Roswell Historical Society.
We have been so happy to be a part of your lives, and we’ll see you soon in our next adventures.
