Announcing Auditions for William Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors

In February, North Fulton Drama Club will be holding open, Non-Equity auditions for a new production of William Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors.

Auditions will be held on Monday and Tuesday, February 22nd and 23rd, from 6:30 pm to 9:30pm. Call backs will be held on Thursday, February 25th.

Show dates are evenings Fridays & Saturdays, May 7th through May 22nd; Sunday matinee at 4pm on May 17th.

Actors should come prepared to perform cold-readings from provided scripts. Monologues, particularly Shakespearean, are appreciated, but not required. Headshots and theatre resumes are appreciated, but not required.

Auditions will be held on the property of Barrington Hall in Roswell, Georgia. The Hall is located at 535 Barrington Drive, on the south side of the Historic Roswell Square, near the intersection of GA Hwy 120 and GA Hwy 9. Follow Barrington Drive and turn left on to King Street to access the graveled parking behind the blue barn. There is very limited parking available in the main lot, so please park around back.

Services to Honor Sara Papp

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, November 15th at 3:30pm at the Cremation Society of the South, Marietta Chapel. Following the service there will be a reception held in honor of Sara at the Indian Hills Country Club from 5pm to 7pm. NFDC members are welcome at both ceremonies; the memorial service is expected to be standing room only.

Instead of flowers, the family asks that remembrances of Sara be made either to the Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, The Atlanta Humane Society, or Georgia Equine Rescue League.

In Memory of Sara Papp

We are saddened to announce that Sara Papp, who played Titania in our Midsummer, has passed away.

We were very fortunate to be able to work with Sara, and our thoughts are with her family.

Information about services will be posted when we hear about arrangements from her family.



Come Out For Spooky Stories!

Tonight is the last night to catch Beasties at Barrington, our annual spooky storytelling tour. Come out to hear some shivery tales and drink some hot apple cider! Admission is $5 per person, and we get started at 7pm. See you there!



Beasties Are Back!

beastiesbannerNorth Fulton Drama Club & Barrington Hall are pleased to present our second annual spooky storytelling tour!

Beasties at Barrington will showcase four spooky Southern Gothic tales. Follow your undead guide through the grounds for a spine-chilling tour, and then warm up with hot chocolate or apple cider afterward.

Tickets are $5.00 and tours leave every fifteen minutes starting at 7pm on October 23rd & 24th. Hot cider, hot chocolate, coffee, cookies, and other refreshments are available to keep you warm on your spooky way

Two MAT Award Wins for NFDC!

The MAT Awards Ceremony for the 2009 season was held last night at the newly restored Strand Theater in Marietta. North Fulton Drama Club was honored with seven nominations across five categories. To make the evening brighter, NFDC’s Qate Bean and Jim Dailey each won for their respective roles in Romeo and Juliet (Fall 2008).

NFDC’s submission for the 2010 Season is Macbeth, closing this weekend.



Macbeth Matinee Today at 3pm!

It looks like the weather will be very good to us today. If you’re looking for something to do out in the mid-day sun — or if you were rained out of an earlier show — please join us for our only Matinee performance of Macbeth.

The Matinee starts at 3pm.* Patrons are welcome to assemble on the lawn as early as 2pm.
