We have tents and folding chairs available. The tents will be up regardless of the forecast, and the chairs will be at the ready. Our Rain Policy is as follows:

If it rains prior to curtain, then we will proceed with the show, delayed only to make up for lost prep time. If it rains during the show, then we will hold and determine if we are dealing with a small shower or something larger.

In other words, if at all possible, the show will go on.

Additionally, if we call the show and you have paid for a table, we will happily arrange to either set up the table for you on another night we are showing, or we will refund the amount paid for the table. We are unable to provide refunds for food, as the food orders must be placed on the Thursday prior to the show, and cannot be canceled. NFDC is excited to announce that in honor of our closing weekend, we are offering a discount for tables! To be exact, we are offering a 25% discount. Our tables are usually $40 to seat six, and for these last two shows only, you can have that same table for $30.

Remember, our reserved seating patrons have the option to order catering! Our new catering partner is Diesel Pizza and Pub. Order pizza, panini, or sandwiches to enhance your experience. Diesel is an NFDC favorite, so don’t be shy, try the High Octane Pizza! It’s awesome!

While we’ve restored our main website, our online table reservation system still needs to be cured of the effects. This season, we are introducing a number of interactive activities for our patrons to our matinee performance.

At 3pm, we invite our visually impaired patrons to join us on a touch tour. During this tactile experience, those patrons who are visually impaired will be introduced to our lead performers who will describe themselves and their characters. Patrons will be able to touch our set and walk through it as a guide lets them know which parts of the set coincide with portions of the play, locations and character entrances and exits. Guests will also have the opportunity to feel and touch our incredible costume pieces so that they too can enjoy the feel of an open air Arabian market place. (Duration: Approximately 45 minutes)

After the performance, we invite you to stay for a 45 minute educational talk-back with several of our actors, our Education and Outreach coordinator, and our production team, including director Thomas Strickland. This is your opportunity to ask questions about the performance, the show itself, what we do at NFDC or simply to satisfy your curiosity.

A Study Guide is available for download to help you, your students, or even your family prepare for viewing this performance and attending the talk back. The study guide features great information and pictures as well as study questions and exciting post-show learning activities.
